Funded For the Year!!!

This came out of nowhere. One day I was sitting in a meeting at 80% funded and the next I am being told that I am being funded for the year. Praise God!

So, this update is going to be sharing about how this happened, what this means, and what are the next steps. So, let's get started, how did this happen? I have been support raising for about 1 year and 2 months and during this time I had the privilege to support raise alongside my allied circle mates during the summer. For those who do not know what an allied circle is, it is a group of people who support raise and advocate for each other, and I've been part of an allied circle since my first year of interning. So, I got to support raise alongside them, but they had to be finished by the end of the summer so they could get on campus at the start of the year. I got to see them make a final push for support and get on campus. From there I raised on my own as they got on campus. As I was support raising recently one of my bosses joined my coach in my coaching call to break some news to me. She let me know that the circle had over support raised what they need and that this amount was going to get me fully funded for the year. They raised the amount I needed and more to be able to even help others.

What does this mean? Well, I am fully funded, but just for the year. My circle raised enough to cover me for a year, but I need to get fully funded for the long term. I am still at 80 % and come this summer I will need to raise the last $1.600 monthly, but the hope is that with me getting on campus I will be able to form new relationships that will help get me the last amount. I am praising God for this opportunity, but also am trying to be aware of the reality that this is only one year and trying to get funded for the long term. If you are supporting me thank you so much for your prayer and financial support. You are one of the reasons I am on campus now. I ask that you pray about seeing if you could connect me to anyone you may know who has a heart for ministry so that I can get closer to 100% before summer hits.

Whats the next step? I'm on campus and get to do the ministry I have been waiting to do for so long. I get to help the team in Long Beach at reaching students for the kingdom so that they eventually can be dedicated Christ followers who have an impact on local and global communities for Jesus. I will get to go to fall retreat, winter conference, do discipleship, evangelize, speak at our weekly meetings, and overall have a great time with the students. I am so excited for this, and I am excited to have you guys pray for me and see what is happening on campus.
