Fall Retreat was full of awe and wonder. Students came to the mountains not knowing what would come of it but trusting God to do great things. Some left with questions of where they were in their faith. Some came in with no community and left with a greater sense of what community looks like. Some came in not knowing who God is and came out trusting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Every student had a unique experience at Fall Retreat, but the constant thing between them all was God met them where they were at in such big ways.
Through all of this we did not want this to be a mountain top experience so this year after our Fall Retreat we trusted God to lead our students on campus through an outreach with one of our evangelism tools called Perspective Cards. Perspective Cards allow us to help set up spiritual conversations in a way that allows the person who is being asked the questions to, to be able to reflect on their own life and how they have been influenced.
We were able to set up a training time for the students and those who have never shared their faith before so that they could feel prepared and also know what successful evangelism looks like. From this we saw about 15 students come out to learn how to share their faith. From this we were able to see about 50+ spiritual conversations and we even saw 3 people pray to receive Christ.
From this outreach our students have been frequently going out on campus and using this tool to take a step of faith and trust the Holy Spirit with the rest. Praise God for all the students He has reached through us and pray for the future students paths He puts us into!
Pray: That our students will continue to step out in faith and share the love of Jesus to all those that they come into contact with.
