The Lord has done big things this Fall 2023 semester! As we continue to trust in the Lord’s plan for our movement we have seen:
Our staff team has grown this year by welcoming three staff members, one Alumni, one volunteer, and one full time - Becky, Elizabeth & Me! Praise the Lord for providing us with more laborers!
The Lord has rebuilt our movement with 10 new student leaders who are passionate about incorporating their gifts into sharing and showing the love of Jesus on campus.
After pioneering in local community colleges; Long Beach City College and Cypress College we have found 5 students who are excited to help launch a Cru movement on their prospective campuses. Madecyn and Frank have been working closely with these students weekly on their visions to bring Jesus to campus.
Praise the Lord for 5 decisions for Christ!! We are so in awe with how God is moving in the hearts and minds of students on our CSULB campus. One decision was made at Fall Retreat, three decisions were made during our campus outreach, and one more decision was made from a student at Cerritos College. These students have made a decision to follow Christ for a lifetime and have been deeply moved by the gospel.
This year’s Fall Retreat in Idyllwild, CA we collaborated with Fullerton and Pomona Epic Movement and Renew church, hosting 200+ students. Students came together to worship the Lord, reflect on what He is doing in their lives, get to know each other better through sports and discussion groups, and receive prayer at the end of the retreat from the staff members!
Students had the opportunity to Practice the Way: Do What Jesus Did during Serve Day in September hosted by Long Beach Church Collective. Students gathered with other churches in the area to pick up trash at our local community park.
Pray that our students are motivated going into this next semester to take big steps of faith through trust in the Holy Spirit.
Pray that just before Spring Semester that our students and staff are impacted by the annual Winter Conference that we have going on from January 11-15. Pray that our day of faith at Winter Con on January 13th is a success and that students take big steps of faith through serving the communities that we have partnered up with. Pray also for no rain so that all of our partnerships are able to follow through with what they planned.
